Greetings from IEC and Hagyuji Culture Center !
My name is WAYNE. I hail from Marshfield, Massachusetts-in the USA. It’s a small beach town, south of Boston. So…I’m just wondering: Are you interested in improving your English pronunciation? Interested in English speaking more naturally, more quickly? You are an English teacher, but is English still hard for you to understand-difficult to “catch”?
This is our FOCUS: speaking and listening comprehension. This is where most Japanese students of English hit “the wall”, but that wall can be broken. You can climb over it! I help people do it all the time. Trust me, you won’t have to say “Muzukasii” for the rest of you life. You just need to break some habits and think positively.
We’ll target your habits-some are like cement, but we can break them down! We’ll also target your thought process-that is where change begins. And once you start practicing your new habits and start speaking confidently, you can help your students do the same thing! It all starts with attitude: The belief we construct can be our bridges or our barriers to improvement, to success, to mastery. Do your beliefs help you? Do you believe you can speak English clearly and naturally? Secondly, we have to look at “Katakana”: This is a big hurdle to speak and understanding spoken English well. Most teachers understand this problem…Let’s go to the next level and begin to remove the problem! Many Japanese have been able to overcome their Katakana addiction…It is most important that teachers do this, obviously.
So, challenge yourself! Why? Because, it is through challenge that we advance ! We welcome you, English Teachers, Head English Teachers…to come and expand your knowledge, expand your English speaking and listening abilities, expand your mind. Study English as it should be studied: through its culture-the music, the history, the great thoughts-and through your own self-expression! You’ll have fun, and you’ll be embracing your profession…shooting for mastery.
The more you learn, the more you can give to other people. Why not take the time? Increase your confidence and your creativity, and have a great time!
